
B.A.B.I.S. was formed in January 2001 by individuals with acquired brain injury, their families and professionals to provide:
socialization opportunities for people with acquired brain injuries,
their families and friends;
education, support, hope and coping strategies to each other;
outreach and education to the greater community regarding acquired
brain injury;
local and national resources, across many topics, to group members
and the community.

October 1, 2005 was our third annual “Heads Held High” Brain Injury Awareness Walk. Thank you to everyone who helped this walk to be our biggest and best to date!
The success of the 2004 & 2005 "Heads Held High" Brain Injury Awareness Walk allows us to continue to offer to our BABIS members Creative Scholarships- $50 to be used for materials, a class, or anything else that helps you be creative. Contact one of the BABIS planning members for more details.
